57 Cents

A little girl stood sobbing near the entrance to a church that is not too great, he's just not allowed to go to church because it "was too crowded."

A minister passing nearby and asked him why the little girl was crying?

"I can not go to Sunday School" said the little girl.

Seeing the little girl who looks unkempt and neglected, the pastor immediately understand and can guess why the little girl was not welcomed into the Sunday School. Took her into the little Sunday School room in the church and he is still finding an empty seat for the little girl.

The little girl was so deeply stirred her feelings, so that at the time before bed at night, she had time to think about other children that same boat with him that seemed to not have a place to glorify Jesus.

When she mentioned this to his parents, who happen to be a person not haves, the mother is comforted that the girl was lucky to get help from a priest. Since then, the little girl befriended by the priest.

Two years later, the little girl died in the slum area where she lived, and her parents sought help from the pastor of kindness for the funeral procession which is very very simple. At the funeral is finished and the girl's bedroom in the trim, a wallet obsolete, ragged and torn tear is found, it was very noticeable that the wallet is a wallet that might be discovered by the girl out of the trash. Inside was found 57 cents coins and a piece of paper with the hand, which clearly seems written by a child whose contents:

"This is to help build the little church that could be expanded so more children can go to Sunday School"

Apparently during the two years, since she can not get into the church, the little girl was collecting and saving her money until the accumulated number of 57 cents for a very noble intentions.

When the pastor read this little note, his eyes were swollen and he knew what to do. Armed with an old wallet and a small note of this, the priest soon to motivate the managers and parishioners to continue the noble purpose of the little girl was to enlarge the church building.

But the story does not end here. A newspaper learned of the story and published it. Until finally it was read and was immediately offered a location to be near the little church with a price of 57 cents, after the church officials said they could not pay so much, so good.

Church members also volunteer to give donations and do the preaching, eventually snowball that started by the little girl was rolling and within five years, managed to raise $ 250 000 dollars, an amount that fantastic at the time (at the turn of the century, this number can be buy gold weighing one ton).

Here is the real love of a poor little girl, less manicured and less eating, but care for others who suffer. Unconditionally, without pretension.

Currently, if you are in Philadelphia, look at the Temple Baptist Church, with a seating capacity of 3,300 and Temple University, where hundreds of thousands of student learning. See also Good Samaritan Hospital and a special building for Sunday School complete with hundreds of hundreds (well, hundreds of hundred) instructors, all of it to make sure not to have one child who does not have a place in Sunday school.

In one room of this building may be seen the picture the little girl, who with his savings amounted to 57 cents, but are compiled based on a sense of love for others who have made history. Looks neat rows also a good photo of the priest's heart that have reached out to ketch poor girl, who is the pastor DR.Russel H. Conwell the author of "Acres of Diamonds" - a true story.
